Old Applications - New Tricks Free eLearning Web Cast
The painful reality for IT professionals is that with today’s integration infrastructure, keeping IT and business strategy unified comes at a prohibitive cost.
Wednesday August 4, 2004
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Pacific Time
The point-to-point nature of integration renders it brittle and inflexible. Custom application development for new business functionality puts enterprises in a straightjacket because of an inability optimize their business processes. Costs associated with maintenance and change management are very high as enterprises try to adapt with even more custom development and point-to-point integration.
According to a March 2004 Gartner study, the top priority for CIOs this year is developing an efficient and flexible infrastructure, with managing that infrastructure as the second highest priority.
Learn how to easily adapt your current applications to new business processes at this invitation-only webinar presented by Commerce One.
During this free training web cast, you'll hear how software like Commerce One Conductor™ can save you over 40-50% in total cost of ownership on the first project, relative to alternative approaches used today, and how you can save even more on subsequent projects, due to “network effect” benefits of composite application development.
You will learn in this web cast:
- How to deliver on the promise of integrating and extending applications quickly and cost-effectively
- How to centrally manage critical services such as single sign-on, entitlement, globalization and cross-application processes through composite applications
- How to be a truly open and flexible enterprise by leveraging Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) with composite applications
