FirstEnergy to Webcast Q2 Earnings Teleconference

In conjunction with the release of FirstEnergy Corp.'s (NYSE: FE - News) second quarter 2004 earnings results on Wednesday, July 28, 2004, the company is inviting investors, customers and other interested parties to listen to the live Internet Webcast of its teleconference for financial analysts at 1:30 p.m. Eastern time that day.

FirstEnergy management will present an overview of the company's financial results for the quarter and a question-and-answer session will follow.
