Introduction to Pharmaceutical Water Systems Live Training Webinar
This two-hour live training webinar will help participants get quickly up-to-speed on key themes and concepts of pharmaceutical water systems.
Join The Society for Life Science Professionals on August 11, 2004 at 11.00-13.00 EDT. This Webinar is intended to: (1) prepare students for the face to face training course, Pharmaceutical Water Systems: Part 1 - Pharmaceutical Water Generation Systems, and (2) be offered independently as a fundamental training module on pharmaceutical water systems.
The live training webinar will provide background information on pharmaceutical water treatment and help facilitate the learning for those enrolled in the ISPE training courses, Pharmaceutical Water Systems: Part 1 and Part 2. Topical reading and other reference materials will also be suggested.
The webinar will also provide a broad overview of regulatory requirements, water quality requirements and selection criteria, and generation methods. Methods for storage and delivery will also be reviewed.
At the end of this webinar, participants will be able to discuss regulatory requirements, including an overview of current FDA views and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) as they relate to pharmaceutical water systems.
Participants will also be able to explain the effect of the cGMPs, FDA guidance documents, ISPE Baseline® Guides, and other reference documents on water system design, construction, maintenance and validation and compare common water process design alternatives for USP Purified Water (PW) and Water for Injection (WFI) systems.
