Introduction to Biotech Basics: Fundamental Principles for the Biotechnology Industry Live Training Webinar

The live training webinar will provide participants with an overview of key themes and concepts of the biotechnology industry. This Webinar is intended to: (1) prepare students for the face to face training course, Biotech Basics: Fundamental Principles for the Biotechnology Industry, and (2) be offered independently as a fundamental training module on the biotechnology industry.

The live Webinar will provide fundamental information necessary to understanding the biotech industry. The content of the training webinar will provide a basic foundation for the information that will be covered in the training course. Topics to be discussed include: definitions of the biotechnology industry, industry terminology, the science behind the industry, regulatory philosophies, and applications of the technology within the industry.

This Webinar is targeted to those individuals that are new to the biotechnology industry.

At the end of this training Webinar, participants will be able to define biological products and manufacturing processes, explain regulatory issues, and discuss facility design concepts within the biotechnology industry.

Participants will receive the handout for this webinar by email 3 days prior to this event.

The live webinar is intended for Life Science professionals new to the industry, those entering new work assignments encompassing biotechnology operations, and those with previous pharmaceutical industry experience wanting to learn the basics of biotechnology.
