Martek Q3 2004 Investor Live Conference Call & Webcast

Martek Biosciences Corporation (Nasdaq: MATK) will make available its upcoming quarterly conference call with investors live via webcast on Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at 4:45 p.m. Eastern Time.

The conference call will be hosted via Martek's regular teleconferencing vendor. In addition to the Company's standard conference call format, audio for the call will be streamed live over the Internet so that interested investors will be able to listen to the conference call from their desktop computers. The call is expected to be approximately one hour in duration.

Investors who are interested in listening to the call via the Internet may do so by logging onto Martek's web site at http://www.martekbio.com, selecting the Investors tab, choosing "Live Webcast" and then following the related instructions.
