Leadership on Purpose, Part 2: Energy and Direction Live Online Training Meeting
On September 22, 2004 at Noon Pacific time be sure to join the American Society For Quality for the second part of this very revealing online training meeting.
In this second presentation in the Leading on Purpose series, we look at the “doing” of leadership. You will learn fundamental leadership skills that can be widely applied in many different settings. By applying the “Seven Principles of Effective Outcomes,” you will understand how to set well-formed goals that are compatible with your leadership agenda.
You will learn about what creates motivation, and apply a method to determine how your beliefs support your achievements by either increasing or depleting your energy. You will understand two of the primary proficiencies of effective leaders – knowing the relationship between direction and motivation, and communicating where you want to go with enthusiasm and power.
Participants will obtain guidelines for setting effective goals and outcomes and will acquire a motivational belief self-assessment technique and understand how to use it to increase their personal motivation.
After the event is over you will:
- Understand why clear outcomes are critical for leaders
- Know how to set effective goals and outcomes
- Understand the basis of personal motivation
- Know how to assess your personal motivation and increase it to provide your desired level of enthusiasm
- Relate personal values and beliefs to your outcomes and motivation
