Successful Financing Round Enables Nashville-based education services company secures $1.5 million to finance growth.
American Learning Solutions, Inc. (ALS), a privately-held provider of premier online MBA programs and education services, recently completed a successful series B financing round. This financing round generated approximately $1.5M. Series B investments were made by both current and new investors.
Funds secured in this financing round will be used by American Graduate School of Management, the accredited online degree-granting unit of ALS, to launch additional MBA programs and to fund start-up activities for its Ellis University subsidiary.

American Learning Solutions was established in 2000 as a Vanderbilt University Technology Company to pursue opportunities emerging at the intersection of management education and technology. Founders include The Honorable Lamar Alexander, Joe B. Wyatt and Dr. Richard W. Oliver. Lamar Alexander, now a US Senator from the State of Tennessee, is former US Secretary of Education, Governor of Tennessee, and President of the University of Tennessee. Joe B. Wyatt is Chancellor Emeritus of Vanderbilt University and former Vice President, Administration at Harvard University. Dr. Oliver served as a professor of management at Vanderbilt University and earlier as Vice President, Nortel Networks.
