The HD5000 and HD4000 also offer H.263+/++ video standard including XGA resolution, H.264 up to 4Mbps, and Interlaced CIF resolution for full-motion video (up to 60 fields per second). Additionally, VCON's HD5000 features H.235 security for encrypted conferences over an IP network . Additionally, the HD5000 and HD4000 now include Packet Loss Recovery, a new feature of VCON PacketAssist™ architecture.

Built on a high-performance multimedia PC, the HD5000 can share data with a remote site using a simple, intuitive interface. Attaching a VCR/DVD to the HD5000 allows users to access and play videos or music during a live videoconference with mixed audio for recording or training purposes.

With the HD4000, VCON authorized partners and end user customers have flexibility in configuring a videoconferencing solution using their own system platform and peripherals. Additionally, once integrated into a high-performance, multimedia PC, customers can use their HD4000 system in numerous ways: access the Internet, display presentations and documents during meetings, play movies and videos clips, and participate in Web data conferences.

Version 3.5 for the HD5000 and HD4000 will be available in Q1 2005.
