COLUMBUS, Ohio - Pathlore Software Corporation, a provider of elearning and learning management software (LMS) and services to industry and government, announced that the State of Mississippi has purchased the Pathlore enterprise learning management solution to replace several disparate training systems currently used by the state's 30,000 workers. Once Pathlore's system is deployed, Mississippi will use the learning management solution to build a framework for aligning employees' skills and competencies with the mission of each government agency within the state.Passage of the "State Employee Management Training Act" in 2003 helped the Mississippi Department of Finance and Administration spearhead the purchase of the Pathlore learning management solution. Along with establishing a training program for supervisory personnel, the act buttressed efforts to create employee development opportunities for state workers. The Pathlore solution offers Mississippi's state workers a Web-based platform for selecting training courses, measuring the outcome of coursework and charting career paths.
"Implementation of such an enterprise-based product will significantly increase the state's ability to provide for the training needs of state workers and managers at all levels of government," said Chief Systems Information Officer Cille Litchfield, Mississippi Department of Finance and Administration. "After all proposals were reviewed, we selected Pathlore
because the firm met our technology requirements, offered a competitive price, and demonstrated significant experience with state government."
With the announcement, Pathlore has sold learning management solutions to 30 out of 50 states.
