Enterprise Training and eLearning Summit

LA QUINTA, Calif. - Corporate elearning has evolved. No longer will executives be expected to take a course or be informally apprenticed to someone familiar to the subject at hand. To compete in today's knowledge economy, employees must master new skills rapidly and efficiently, they must learn new things continuously or watch others as they pass by. With very few other avenues left to stay ahead, intellectual capital steps up to the plate as one of the corporations' key components to corporate survival. Competition is ever-present and corporations are faced with cultivating a knowledge set that nurtures a technologically sound workforce. The voice of the senior eLearning executive can now be heard in every board room across North America as they discuss how to take their company from eLearning to Enterprise.

The Enterprise Training Summit, formerly the eLearning Summit, will be held at the La Quinta Resort & Club in California from May 22-24. The Summit brings to the executive's world the amalgamation of eLearning and organizational training, resulting in a dynamic and knowledge based summit. As we move forward in 2005, eLearning will begin to consolidate and initiatives will focus on a complete enterprise training infrastructure, blended learning and robust content that improves time-to-market and solves compliance related issues. Hence the elearning summit focuses on the technological and academic training of employees while encompassing organizational growth and profitability.

In addition to the speaker programs, attendees can network with peers in networking activities and meet with technology and service providers in one-on-one meetings. Networking activities built right into the personalized schedule provide the attendees with the opportunity to forge new relationships with senior-level executives in the industry. The attending delegation can expect to meet with persons from Aetna, TATA Interactive Systems, BellSouth, Advanced Systems Technology, FedEx, Information Experts, The Schwan Food Company, Element K, and Williams-Sonoma.

The attending delegation will hear from corporate elearning and training leaders as they deliver presentations on pertinent issues to the senior elearning executive. Michael Woodard, Director of Sales Training and Development at Quaker Oats (A PepsiCo Company); Karen Johnson, Global eService Learning Strategy Development Manager with Xerox; Ray Hartijen, Director of Learning Technologies at Sony; Ray Vigil, VP & CLO at Humana; and Don Bolen, General Manager Training Technology and Corporate Training Services from Delta Airlines, are just a few of the distinguished presenters participating in the summit. Some of the topics to be addressed include blended elearning and how it relates to your organization, strategic blended learning initiatives and how best the technologies integrate. Outsourcing initiatives, elearning performance measurement, using enterprise elearning programs to map behavioural change, and harnessing the benefits of elearning against your competitors will also be covered at the Enterprise Training Summit.
