Indianapolis, IN. - Vonexus Inc., a wholly- owned subsidiary of Interactive Intelligence Inc. (Nasdaq: ININ - News), is making available its premise-based Internet protocol audio conferencing product, called Vonexus Live Conference, with Microsoft Office Live Meeting, giving organizations an audio and web collaboration solution designed to reduce costs, increase productivity, and enhance collaboration. "The Vonexus Live Conference and Microsoft Office Live Meeting web collaboration solution will help organizations better communicate and collaborate with geographically dispersed employees, partners, and customers-leading to better business decisions and better business results," said Taylor Collyer, senior director for product management, Real-Time web Collaboration Business Unit at Microsoft Corp. "We look forward to continuing to work with Vonexus to help our customers gain the competitive advantage made possible by real-time collaboration."
"With industry trends showing an increase in remote, mobile and distributed workers, along with the fact that companies are seeking real-time web collaboration as a means to reduce travel costs and increase employee productivity, this solution offers organizations an extremely compelling value proposition," said Vonexus president, Jerry Fleming.
The Vonexus Live Conference product eliminates costs associated with hosted audio conference services by providing organizations with an on-premise audio conference server. Live Meeting is an online web collaboration and Web conferencing service that empowers information workers to conduct real-time, interactive presentations and meetings over the Internet.
The integrated solution will enable companies to use Microsoft Office Outlook meeting request to schedule both Vonexus Live Conference and Live Meeting web collaboration sessions. Other features will include automated "meet me" web conferencing; multi-site web conferencing; Web-based administration and reporting with resource monitoring features; on-demand recording; embedded call control buttons; encrypted security features; and scalability up to several hundred participants per conference call.
Vonexus Live Conference runs on industry standard Intel-based computer servers using the Microsoft Windows operating system. Vonexus Live Conference will use Intel's HMP software, which eliminates the need for voice boards, thus further reducing costs, and simplifying set-up and maintenance.
Vonexus Live Conference will be made generally available April 1, 2005 as both a standalone audio conference server, and as an add-on to the Vonexus IP PBX product, called Enterprise Interaction Center® (EIC), which is an all-software IP telephony solution designed exclusively for small to medium-sized business customers.
Vonexus Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Interactive Intelligence Inc. (Nasdaq: ININ - News), a global developer of business communications software and web collaboration since 1994. Vonexus offers Enterprise Interaction Center® (EIC), the first standards-based, all-software IP PBX developed exclusively for Microsoft small to medium-sized business customers.
