Spring, TX - Online training is now offered over the internet for busy managers to teach them how to recognize and deal with drug and alcohol abuse by employees. With one out of every ten employees actively abusing drugs and alcohol it has become imperative for every company and business to train their supervisors and managers on risk management techniques to protect employees, customers and the company itself. Employers are required to provide a safe and efficient workplace and they depend upon each supervisor or manager to enforce this mandate. Government regulators and juries are holding all companies to higher standards of risk mitigation.

Trinity RJM has announced an online training program for managers and supervisors who actively supervise one or more employees. The course is targeted to persons who have recently been promoted to a management or supervisory position and need to know how to identify drug abuse and what is required to protect the abuser, the company, and the public.

“The pervasive abuse of drugs and alcohol, coupled with increasing corporate accountability, places all companies at risk.” said Galynn Ferris, General Manager of Trinity RJM. “The risk of financial loss from injury, litigation, and lost productivity is increasing every day. No company can afford to ignore the signs of drug abuse and hope for the best.”

“Our purpose is to create effective online training programs for small companies. We believe our clients are very busy and need to be able to take online training on a schedule that is convenient for them.”

Mr. Ferris states the program is designed to be delivered over all types of Internet connections, including dial-up phone lines. “This makes our courses especially valuable to rural businesses. We provide an affordable online training solution for these companies because there will be no travel costs and minimal absence from work.”

The course titled Drug Abuse Training for Supervisors has been added to HIPAA Privacy Rule and Bloodborne Pathogen courses currently being offered. It takes less than two hours to complete but the student can exit the course at any time and the software will remember where they were so they can return at the next opportunity.

The participant will learn how to recognize workplace problems that may be related to employee use of alcohol and other drugs. They will also learn how to identify and investigate crisis situations, intervene in problem situations, refer employees for counseling, protect employee confidentiality, avoid enabling, and how to continue to supervise employees who have been referred to assistance.

"Telling ain't training", states Mr. Ferris. "Far too many online training courses are simply Power Point™ presentations. Our online training courses utilize adult learning techniques and provide lots of interaction with the learner. The result is a learning experience wherein the participant can skip topics that are familiar and focus on topics that are new. We include a review quiz to reinforce the online learning experience."

Trinity RJM is a elearning and online training company based in Spring, Texas, specializing in the delivery of affordable online training programs to small companies over the Internet. To learn more about the online training courses visit their website at www.trinityrjm.com.
