Boston, MA. - Watlow Electric Manufacturing Company has selected TrainCaster Learning Management System to manage their elearning and training records. Watlow needed a records management solution that gives them the flexibility to manage completion records, elearning assignments, and due dates, while also giving them a clear upgrade path as their training needs change and grow over time. TrainCaster LMS recently introduced an LMS-Only configuration option that offered Watlow the ideal elearning solution. "TrainCaster's LMS option was introduced to meet a specific training need of organizations that are beginning to migrate to online training, but are not yet ready to commit to delivering online courses," states Grace Sharp, director of marketing. "Organizations that have a need to keep track of training completion records and manage training assignments, but do not have training content that is ready to go, can take advantage of this option. We offer a variety of configurations, which allows us to keep the solution flexible enough to meet a wide range of records management needs."
Watlow was attracted to TrainCaster's feature-rich learning training management LMS solution. TrainCaster LMS product updates are immediately available to Watlow, they require no additional cost or effort, and the LMS solution does not require a full-time administrator.
Watlow has also opted to deploy TrainCaster's training delivery module, in a limited format. While no courses are delivered via this module, they can assign elearning courses, and send automated reminders and completion notices to trainees. Trainees can also track their elearning training assignments, progress, and status using the system. Registration for classroom training sessions directly from the course assignment list is also available.
Watlow's deployment of TrainCaster's LMS option is helping the organization move from a cumbersome, inefficient paper-based management system, to an automated, more efficient system.
