Sacramento, CA. - Coversant, Inc. recently announced availability of a Service Release (SR1) of its .NET XMPP messaging server, SoapBox Server 2005. The new service release of XMPP Server includes advanced web conferencing, better manageability, stronger security and easier installation. SoapBox Server 2005 SR1 now includes advanced web conferencing. Administrators can now provide both permanent and impromptu web conference rooms, which are managed from an easy-to-use interface. Advanced web conferencing provides easy user management through integration with Active Directory, LDAP, and NTLM.
Added support for Oracle 9i, Oracle 10g, and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 provides more database platform options to system administrators. Security has been improved by adding single sign-on and improving the integration with Active Directory, LDAP, and NTLM. Coversant has added a User Directory Configuration Wizard, an Oracle Installation Wizard, and an easier upgrade process for current users of SoapBox Server.
