Enterprise Project Management Solution Unveiled at Project Summit New England; Offers Superior Project Execution Portal for Distributed Teams. This week at Project Summit New England, the Trilog Group, Inc., a developer in secure multi-enterprise project management and web collaboration offerings and the established provider of distributed collaborative business process solutions, announced the availability of ProjExec 3.0.

Designed to solve many challenges presented by the use of separate and distinct web collaboration, communication and project management tools in distributed corporate environments, this software solution provides a web collaborative process portal environment with a common infrastructure for execution and management of multiple enterprise projects.

ProjExec 3.0 is now available in two editions. The version branded as ProjExec 3.0 for IBM Workplace is optimized for IBM Workplace and IBM WebSphere Portal. ProjExec 3.0 Standard Edition supports any Jave J2EE-compliant web application server.

Results generated by project teams working together under a single roof are now possible for geographically and organizationally distributed project teams using the secure and integrated ProjExec 3.0 project management and web collaboration portal. ProjExec 3.0's extensive collaborative capabilities augment a project management foundation that complies with industry standards established by the Project Management Institute (PMI). ProjExec 3.0 focuses on solving the collaboration and coordination problems that are common to enterprise projects, allowing processes to extend seamlessly outside an organization to form virtual project teams regardless of geography, time zone, culture, standards, or IT infrastructure.

ProjExec 3.0 optimizes team productivity while providing project managers and stakeholders real-time visibility, predictability and control on all project aspects. Some key features include:

- Enhanced collaboration through virtual presence, contextual role-based collaboration and integrated instant messaging tools;

- Integrated project workflow processes for time and activity management, issue management, document management and change request management;

- Integration with MS Project and graphical Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), team calendar and common access to project information with role-based security;

- Dashboard control, portfolio tracking and visibility of critical project metrics with real-time tabular and graphical reporting tools, automated alerts and progress reports;

- Threaded discussion forums and automated notifications for timely resolution of issues;

- Integrated team calendaring and scheduling for increased productivity;

- Automated rule-based alerts and notifications delivering the right information to the right people in the right roles;

- A unique component architecture that includes extensible and highly configurable templates to implement each organization's specific internal processes and practices; and

- A personalized home page tailored to the information needs of each project member

ProjExec 3.0 for IBM Workplace includes all of the integrated project management capabilities of the Standard Edition, but is further customized to take advantage of IBM's collaboration software tools such as presence awareness, instant messaging, web conferencing and elearning.

This version of software leverages IBM's WebSphere Portal infrastructure and the innovative Workplace component architecture, making ProjExec extensible and customizable compared to the competition. ProjExec 3.0 for IBM Workplace also offers a superior, yet more affordable alternative to Microsoft Project Server and SharePoint Portal, and can also be deployed on Linux platforms.

"As more projects are being created across the business ecosystem, companies are seeking effective ways to solve the challenges arising from fragmented processes, people, information and tools that are utterly essential to communication and collaboration," said Alex El Homsi, Trilog's President and CEO. "Trilog's vision for ProjExec is to provide a secure virtual workplace infrastructure for co-locating distributed project teams across organizational boundaries along with the tools they need to achieve the high productivity levels that one can typically expect from physical co-location."

ProjExec 3.0 is extremely administrator friendly and virtually eliminates administrative overhead and disruption to an existing IT infrastructure. Traditional enterprise project management tools can be cumbersome to IT administration. ProjExec 3.0 overcomes this obstacle by introducing Site Manager, a new capability that simplifies the hosting and management of multiple sites with multiple projects in a single role-based portal, regardless of whether users are pre-registered in the corporate directory.

"While ProjExec 3.0 is ideal for multi-enterprise project collaboration, its uses are by no means limited to projects spanning time zones, continents and cultures," said Ravinder Shan, Trilog's Vice President of Corporate Development." While a typical deployment of ProjExec 3.0 can be used for corporate or government collaboration projects involving multiple agencies and outside contractors, the same software can be used within a global enterprise. ProjExec has also proven to be a very effective software for outsourced and multi-sourced IT projects that involve a groups of vendors, suppliers and contractors."
