A major educational, training and elearning technology seminar takes place November 19-21 in Abu Dhabi at the fourth annual eMerging eLearning Conference. Under the patronage of HE Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Education and Chancellor of the Higher Colleges, the conference features an impressive array of high-powered speakers and panelists with a diverse range of business and educational experience in the world of business and information technology.
The event will draw an audience from across the Middle East. Many global industry leaders, international consulting experts and visionaries in the world of computer-based delivery of education, elearning and online training who embrace innovation and experience', according to Dr Tayeb Kamali, HCT's Vice Chancellor.
Under the theme, 'Technology Advanced Learning', speakers and session leaders will explore a range of topics from 'Trends and technologies that will change the way we work, play and learn', 'Learning design for mobile devices', and 'Connected schools, connected communities', to 'elearning and the emerging of great global universities', 'Building a solid foundation for the schools of the 21st Century', and 'The Crisis of K-12 and what to do about it'.
This year's eMerging eLearning Conference features the inventor of the phrase 'elearning' and a guru of computer-based education, Jay Cross, who chaired the Conference steering committee and oversaw the program and selection of speakers. Mr Cross, with a broad-based background in corporate elearning and internet online training, will speak Day 1 on 'Natural learning: it never stops'. |
