ACT Teleconferencing Third Quarter Financial Loss Widens |

ACT Teleconferencing Inc. increased its third-quarter loss more than tenfold while revenues remained flat, the company announced last week. The Denver based-company, which provides audio conferencing calling, video and web conferencing products and services reported a loss of $10.9 million, or minus 65 cents a share, on revenue of $12.2 million for the quarter ended Sept. 30. The earnings included an impairment of goodwill of $7.1 million.
During the third quarter of 2004, ACT reported a loss of $789,000, or minus 5 cents a share, on revenue of $12.6 million.
NASDAQ's Listing Qualifications Panel delisted ACT as of Nov. for failing to meet the minimum $1 bid price. The teleconferencing service company's public shares of stock are now traded on the Over The Counter (OTC) exchange under the symbol ACTT.PK and have dropped to hit a new 52-week low ($0.21) on November 23, 2005. |
