Real-Time Display of Digital Files: PowerPoints, PDFs, Word Docs, Music Files, Video and Mac-Generated Files on a PC Is Possible Grass Roots Software announced today it's shipping Freepath™, the company's new software solution, which for the first time ever equips presenters with tools to easily integrate multiple file types into a single live digital presentation.
Freepath allows presenters who aren't technically trained or multimedia experts to show many different types of media files, including PowerPoint, PDFs, photos, videos, virtual reality files, live web sites and Excel spreadsheets. Presenters can even play music downloads from iTunes and other music sources.
Here's how it works. A presenter or speaker cues up various files in advance on the Freepath PlayList and then instantly displays them with a click of the mouse. During a presentation, the speaker can rearrange files, pull a new file into their PlayList, or pause to take notes in a PowerPoint file quickly and easily. Freepath was designed to solve the most common presentation complaint -- the fact that PowerPoint slides could not be displayed seamlessly with other digital files. With Freepath, they are seamlessly displayed, and the audience always sees exactly what the presenter wants to show them.
Specifically, Freepath allows Microsoft®, Adobe®, Macromedia® and other software products to appear together in the same presentation without a glitch.
In the web conference arena, customers will find Freepath extremely useful for hosting web-based meetings. Speakers can use Freepath to create digital presentations for conferences managed through web meeting services such as Citrix's GoToMeeting. |
