The Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau launched a new online destination specialist program for travel agents. Ke Kula O Hawaii (The School of Hawaii) program is free and takes about four hours to finish.

This program is designed to give travel agents information on Hawaii, and upon completion the agents get added benefits -- access to personalized pre-arrival welcome guidebooks and referrals for their clients.

HVCB said the online program has been updated to keep up with travel agent's needs.

About half of the online training program is focused on Hawaii's culture, history and geography, while the rest of the program is devoted to selling the islands in today's marketplace.
