Chalk Media Corp. ("Chalk") today announces the production of two eLearning courses for Scotiabank that educate their Financial Advisors about a new financial planning application.

The first course introduces the application and its principles. The second teaches Financial Advisors how to develop appropriate strategies so the system can generate a personalized Financial Plan for the customer.

Two personalities are used throughout the courses to ease learner anxiety: a Financial Advisor who represents the learners, and a Coach who provides tips along the way.

"To facilitate kinesthetic learning, the eLearning solution includes three scenario-based customer simulations that allow learners to experience a variety of financial planning sessions", said Vicky Ryan, Director of Interactive Production, Chalk. "These scenarios help to make the eLearning experience more relevant, contextual and tactile.

There is also a quiz at the end of each course that tests learner comprehension and allows Scotiabank's team to track the effectiveness of the training."

The eLearning courses developed by Chalk, in both English and French, form a key component of the overall training program delivered for Scotiabank's new financial planning application.

"Chalk's ability to collaborate with us as we developed our application made them a valuable eLearning partner", said Dorothy Samide, Director, Learning Design & Development, Scotiabank. "We really liked the innovative Instructional Design techniques they used to keep our learners engaged. They have provided us with a valuable tool to help us meet our business goals."
