Yemeni journalists are the first among their Arab colleagues to use an online training program specifically designed to improve journalism in developing countries.

The BBC World Service Trust developed iLearn, an online journalism training tool. The trust is expanding the availability of this tool to Yemen as part of its Media Dialogue Program. This is the first time that iLearn has been available to an Arab country.

Fourteen Yemeni female journalists from the Yemeni Female Media Forum (YFMF) were participating in an iLearn course in May.

The iLearn program is designed for journalists with low Internet connectivity, and it can be used in any language. The goal of iLearn training is to encourage balance, objectivity, and other good journalism practices.
