Company to address specific strategies and tactics for implementing a successful program
Supply Chain Consultants (SCC), designer and supplier of the Zemeter suite of supply chain management software products, today announced three one-hour webinars to be held throughout the year that will detail the steps and common obstacles involved in implementing a successful Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) program.
The first webinar on "How to Get Started in S&OP" will be held June 15 at 10 a.m. EDT, with additional webinars on the topic scheduled for September 13 and December 6. The S&OP process is a disciplined way of routinely reconciling demand and capacity under uncertainty, and bringing an organization together on a regular basis to make decisions on how to deploy assets to meet demand projections.
As the supply chain becomes increasingly complex due to more outsourcing and an increase in contract manufacturing, more companies of all sizes are recognizing that a successful S&OP program can be the key to managing an effective supply chain and achieving higher levels of customer service.
The challenge for many companies, however, is identifying where to begin in implementing the necessary tools and processes for establishing a S&OP program.
