John Dingell, D-Dearborn, who has been in Congress for 50 years, knows how to keep up with the kids. He's introduced a podcast, The Dingellcast, joining a growing number of politicians that are using podcasting to communicate with their constituents.

"I'm not going to kid anyone, I don't have an iPod, but I see them all over the place," Dingell said. "This is one more way to satisfy what seems like a boundless appetite for news from Capitol Hill. We want people to know what is happening here."

Dingell is doing a lot of things right with his podcast. His site makes it easy for visitors to listen to the podcasts online; he provides information about podcasting and clearly marks his podcast feed; and he provides a transcript for each podcast. He provides summary information for iTunes, but unfortunately does not provide description information in his feed for each podcast.

Dingell was elected in 1956, and has been reelected 25 times.
