InterCall took home top honors in the Best New Product or Service category at the American Business Awards for its newly-acquired Web conferencing solution, Raindance Seminar Edition (RSE).
"The fact that the entrepreneurs and business executives judging the awards recognize the value of Raindance Seminar Edition is a testament to the product's innovation and the increasing role that conferencing technology is playing in corporate America," said Bob Wise, Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Development for InterCall.
"We are honored to have won the Stevie Award and we will continue to raise awareness of conferencing as an ideal solution for improving our clients' communication, productivity and bottom lines." RSE was developed to simplify the planning, conducting and managing of seminar-style Web conferences. Its user-friendly features make it easier to manage larger audiences before, during and after an event. "Users need a service that removes the complexity of technology and allows them to focus on their message and their audience," said Leslie Osborne, Sr. Manager of Product Management for InterCall.
"Raindance Seminar Edition is simple enough to lead novices step-by-step through the process of creating and conducting their events, yet flexible enough to give experts plenty of opportunity for customization."
Hailed as "the business world's version of the Oscars" by the New York Post, the American Business Awards are the only national, all-encompassing business awards program recognizing great performances in the workplace.
More than 1,500 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration. Nicknamed the "Stevies" for the Greek word "crowned," winners were announced during the annual gala on June 12 in New York City.
