Identity Theft is the fastest growing crime in the United States. Over the past two years, individuals have become much more aware of this crime and the basic steps they need to take to protect themselves and their personal information.
Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for businesses.
A recent study conducted by Professor Judith Collins of Michigan State found that as much as 70% of identity theft crimes are the result of records compromises at the workplace.
This live training webinar will provide an overview of the current state of identity theft and the issue of records theft. The majority of the webinar time will focus on specific actions that an individual can take to enhance the protection of this information as well as a recommended "top down" approach for reducing the risk of a records breach.
Join The International Association for Human Resource Information Management to learn:

- Learn about specific actions that you can take – with, or without executive approval - to improve the protection of personal information within your work teams and reduce your personal risk
- Understand the components of a "comprehensive security program" which is the FTC’s benchmark criteria for "appropriate" protection of personal information
